if you reside in Germany, all artist fees are negotiated gross (german: brutto = incl. VAT / MwSt)
if you reside outside Germany and your artist fee is more than 250,-€ we have to deduct 17,82% income tax and 0,98% solidarity tax (= Solidaritätszuschlag) from your artist fee, this amount goes to the german tax office.
if your country of residence has a double taxation treaty with Germany, to our knowledge, you don’t have to pay income tax again on the pay-out amount. Please check with your tax counselor, no guarantee.
