Wu Tsang for Swarovski

An inauguration of Swarovski Series with
Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain
by Wu Tsang

Swarovski will unveil a stunning new commission by Los Angeles City-based artist Wu Tsang at the FIAC contemporary art fair in Paris, set to run October 21-25. The piece, which will be displayed on the Balcon d’Honneur of the Grand Palais, is the first in a new Swarovski Series supporting artists using crystal as a creative medium.

For FIAC (Foire Internationale d’Art Contemporain) 2015, Nadja Swarovski and FIAC director Jennifer Flay have selected the American artist and filmmaker Wu Tsang as the debut Swarovski Series commission. Having previously explored the creative potential of Swarovski crystals in His Master’s Voice (FIAC 2014 – Isabella Bortolozzi Gallery/Berlin), Wu Tsang’s latest project plays with the medium on a grand scale.

Appearing on the Balcon d’Honneur and visible from all angles within the art fair, Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain is a sculptural light installation, part of an ongoing series by the artist exploring the acoustic potential of the crystal medium.
